Hoping to make it an eighth win for Ireland, Next in Line are the sixth and final artists who will compete in the Eurosong national final which will take place on The Late Late Show on Friday 26th January.
Next In Line
It wouldn’t be Eurosong without some involvement from Louis Walsh and this year his new boyband, Next In Line, are part of the Eurosong line up. This quintet was formed in 2022 through an audition process, with Louis hoping they will be the next One Direction. The band consists of Conor O’Farrell, Nueng Kelly, Harry O’Connell, Conor Davis, and Joshua Regala. While Louis has had success with several acts including Boyzone & Westlife, he hopes that Next In Line will have a sound that more resembles Harry Styles or The 1975.
The band made their Irish TV debut performance on The Late Late Show, and their international debut performance at the world final of Junk Kouture, the youth eco-fashion competition, in Abu Dhabi in 2022.
The song they hope will win Eurosong 2024 and take them to Malmö in May to represent Ireland at Eurovision is called Love Like Us. The song is a slick upbeat pop song, typical of something LouisWalsh would choose for the band. The song is catchy and could become an earworm among listeners and subsequently garner a lot of attention and possible votes.
